A PGE serviceman "determined" that my earthquake gas shutoff valve was faulty and that I needed to have a plumber replace said valve. Steve came out and gave me a free estimate. Other companies wanted up to $100, just for an estimate. Steve explained exactly what needed to be one and gave a quote. I had other estimates- one was six times his quote! He was the least expensive but seemed the most knowledgeable. When I called back to ask him to do the job, he was able to come that day, took less than one half hour to complete the work, and then discovered that there was actually no gas flow through the meter. Calling PGE back, a second PGE service man came out and explained that the new regulator installed by the first one is a new model which has a shut off switch which must be reset any time the gas is shut off. This PGE person complimented the plumber (Steve) who had done the installation. I will call Pipe Down plumbing any time in the future that I need a plumber, and recommend him highly to anyone.

Quick service response. They supplied a very good quality Water Heater brand, when they could have supplied a somewhat less quality.

Steve showed up very quickly the same afternoon and knew exactly what to do to stabilize our kitchen faucet that had not been secured correctly during a new countertop installation a number of months ago. Other companies quoted prices that were over $2,000+ more for the job I hired Pipe Down for. The lady on the phone was very helpful and the plumber was out the same day. Got my new water main installed and had water by the end of the day. I was very impressed with the work that Steven the plumber did, very neat and minimal removal of our landscaping.
